The SWEETLab team has implemented 100SWEETSense PLUM (Portable Latrine Use Monitor) sensors on two Gates Foundation funded sanitation studies in India.
These sensors form part of a London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine public health impact study and a Texas A&M gender impact study. These sensors record the frequency of use of latrine facilities, and are anticipated to dramatically improve the quality of the data collection.
